Introduction
A service is an application or process type that runs in the background and provides specific low level functions to other applications. Service applications typically provide functions such as client/server applications, Web servers, database servers, and other server-based applications to users, both locally and across the network.?
Many of the services you'll find listed by Service Manager are normal Windows operating system services. Malicious programs do occasionally install services of their own, however.
Service Manager will help you manage all the services that are currently installed on your computer system. to You can enumerate, start, stop and disable Windows services. You can also get detailed information about each service and change it's startup type.
How to Use
- Select a Service.
- Click the "Disable" button.
- Select a Service.
- Click the "Change Startup Type" menu and select the "Startup Type" that you need.
